Lasers can machine virtually all metals but precision cutting of very thin and delicate metal foils is gaining increasing importance for many micro & nanotechnology applications. LML has extensive experience in the micromachining of thin metals, often in situ with the foil already positioned on high value devices. The precision and quality of laser micromachining allows such devices to be produced with a high reproducibility and yield.
